Of the one in five Americans with a disability, only 22% are engaged in the workforce. Of those, 16% are unemployed. To help address this pressing issue, the Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation has launched a $2 million M>PWR Initiative designed to empower youth and veterans with disabilities, so they can lead productive lives. By harnessing the power of Mitsubishi Electric’s people, products and philanthropic resources the Foundation invests in innovative strategies to increase employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
